The Olatunji Foundation is a educational non-profit association that promotes Pan-Africanism by supporting students at higher educational institutions who have demonstrated their commitment to the ideology by providing scholarships in various fields of study.

Olatunji is a Yoruba word that means "honor returns."

The Olatunji Foundation was founded on August 17th 2005 in the State of New Jersey.

Since the Olatunji Foundation is a young organization, we currently are dependent upon the support of like minded individuals who see the value of our work. In the future we hope to put surplus funds into investments vehicles that can then fund the organization. It will only be through the generocity of donors that we will be able to do this.

The basic elibility requirements are :

1)A Student of African Descent
2) Attending a Historically Black College or University
3) Eligible for Financial Aid
4) Have a 3.0 GPA at the time of application as verified by the registrar.

Please see the scholarships page for details.

How are scholarships given out?

Winning applicants will be notified via e-mail that they have won. The funds are given to the financial aide office institution to which the student is attending on their behalf.

As is part of our philosophy we are obligated to first support Black institutions. If and when we raise enough funds to have a surplus we will extend our offers to students at other institutions.
