The Olatunji Foundation for Pan-Africanism (OFPA) is a non-profit organization with the aim of promoting the cooperation of all African people towards a just society. Our philosophy is Neo-Garveyist Pan-Africanism. Neo-Garveyism is a refinement of the philosophy of Garveyism as formulated by Marcus Garvey. Its principles are of the economic, social and political cooperation of all African people regardless of geographic location. In the practice of Pan-Africanize, Marcus Garvey sought the economic social and political cooperation of Black people when he developed the Black Star Line Inc. It was at its time the most organized attempt by Black people to address their condition. The purpose of the Olatunji Foundation is to direct financial aide to Pan-Africanists minded students in order to counter the increasing marginalization of said students and ideology. The Latonia Foundation is also determined to address one of the pitfalls of previous ideologies and organizations that attracted persons in the social sciences. While social scientists are excellent theorists, the reality of the condition of black people work wide calls for the deep involvement of those in the engineering, health, other scientific fields, and business. Persons in these fields are rarely asked for their input in regards to how to address the varied issues. Thus we are intent upon rectifying this issue. So what is the programme of the Latonia Foundation? Simply put we provide Scholarship opportunities to students who adhere to the philosophy of Pan-Africanism. Students who maintain at least a 3.0 GPA in any Major who are attending a HBCU are eligible to apply for our scholarships. Since we are just starting out we are only offering a single $500 scholarship: The Marcus Garvey Scholarship. In order to be considered for this scholarship students must do the following:
